NGC 3532 is an open cluster of stars in the Carina constellation and it is about 1,300 light years from us. This cluster is made up of many different stars that include white dwarfs, red giants, and many hot blue stars, all visible in this image.
The Hubble Space Telescope took its first image in this cluster.

Acquisition and Processing
I captured this image using the Slooh Chile Two telescope. I booked five missions and ended up with the following exposures
- Luminance: 14 x 50 sec, binned at 2×2 (11.6 minutes)
- Red: 5 x 20 sec, binned at 3×3 (1.6 minutes)
- Green: 5 x 20 sec, binned at 3×3 (1.6 minutes)
- Blue: 5 x 20 sec, binned at 3×3 (1.6 minutes)
I processed this image using PixInsight. I also used Photoshop but only to rescale the image and add the logo to it.
