I decided to start another book project – this time the book is about PixInsight and it will be geared specifically to users of services like Slooh.com, iTelescope.net, and other remote imaging services.
I decided against the idea of a book about PixInsight. Instead, I am planning to establish a website posting articles on this website and plan to offer a video course on using PixInsight for users of imaging services like Slooh.com, iTelescope.net, and Telescope Live.
While there’s a lot of information about PixInsight, I find that it is mostly in videos and blog posts. While a site like Light Vortex Astronomy does a good job at the basics, there’s more to be said. In addition, there are books like ‘Inside PixInsight’ and ‘Mastering PixInsight’ these books are relatively expensive and don’t cover the aspects I think are important.
My goal is to create a practical book website that you can reference for specific problems and solutions without getting into the theory behind the process.
I have a working title and registered the domain in case I decide to stick with it.
I have a couple of domain names registered for the new site – I am just in the process of deciding which one is best for what I plan to do.
I am in the process of writing and publishing articles about PixInsight here – you can also click the link in the top menu of this site.
If you have any suggestions for what you think should be in the book website, feel free to email me; my email address is here.
