The Sun is sporting three sunspots in this image – the Sun hasn’t been this active in years:
The sunspots are as follows: AR2786 on the far left, AR2785 next, followed by AR2783 on the right.
There has not been this much activity on the Sun since solar cycle 24 where we had 796 spotless days .
I captured this image using the Slooh Solar Telescope located on the Canary Islands.
