This is a closeup view of IC 443:
This nebula is a supernova remnant with the neutron star CXOU J061705.3+222127 causing the nebula to glow. This is a narrowband image and uses the Hubble Pallette (SHO).
Acquisition and Processing
I acquired this image using Telescope Live’s Planewave CDK 24, and used narrowband filters.
The following are the acquisition details
- H-alpha: 20 minutes, binned 1×1
- SII: 20 minutes, binned 1×1
- OIII: 20 minutes, binned 1×1
I processed this image using PixInsight and Photoshop.
