Completing Slooh Quests are a great way to stay engaged on the platform because they give you structure and provide  goals for learning or collecting objects. Slooh Quests are also a great way to learn about astronomy – the quests reinforce learning you can do on your own and then use the quests to perform observations, thereby enhancing your overall learning.

OpenStax is an educational website run by the U.S. Rice University and is funded by philanthropic foundations to provide free, peer-reviewed, and openly-licensed college textbooks to the public. One of the textbooks OpenStax publishes is about Astronomy and you can access the textbook free here.

The OpenStax Astronomy book is an excellent resource for novice and advanced astronomers because it covers a broad array of topics. Slooh created Quests based on the textbook and I present a table here that lists Quests and their corresponding chapter in the Openstax Astronomy book. The table is sorted by chapter number so you can complete the quests in the same order.

Levels range between 100 and 300 in this table with 100 being easy and 300 being more challenging.

The Quest Name is the name of the quest you see on the Slooh Dashboard and in some cases the name of the quest itself is different from the name you see on the dashboard.

I also wrote a free book about astronomy – you can get it free here: Introduction To The Cosmos.
