This is the sun as it appeared on July 22, 2021:
The surface features six active regions – we haven’t seen that many active regions at once in a very long time.
Here’s an annotated version of the above image:
All of the sunspots are visible except 2842 – it was far off to the edge.
I created this image from a number of observations using the Slooh.com Canary 5 Solar telescope.
