This is the Orion Nebula and Running Man nebula:

I imaged these nebulae in narrowband and they’re presented here using the Hubble Palette (SHO). The large blue nebula is the Orion Nebula, or Messier 42. The small reddish nebula above it is the Running Man nebula, or NGC 1977. When imaged in LRGB, the Orion Nebula is more white and red, and the Running Man nebula is more red and blue. The narrowband filters bring out a lot of detail that isn’t present in broadband/LRGB.

There’s a lot of nebulosity throughout the image, surrounding the nebulae and within the nebulae themselves – something that you don’t usually see in LRGB/broadband images.
