This is Mars, passing by Messier 44 – the Beehive Cluster:
The encounter between the two objects lasted for three days, and this image was taken on the encounter’s second day. The telescope moved a little during the observations, so I rejected images with elongated stars. I processed Mars separately from the stars and the star colors are accurate. Processed in PixInsight based on the AutoIntegrate.js script.
